A HAMPSHIRE doctor has been crowned one of the UK’s most impressive females by Small Business Britain.
Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel, from Winchester, is being profiled among 100 inspirational female entrepreneurs from across the country, as part of the campaign to celebrate the multi-achievements of women running businesses in the UK.
Dr Fuller-Shavel founded the Synthesis Clinic in Stockbridge in 2019 to provide a more personalised approach to women’s health and integrative cancer care.
The Winchester doctor was also highlighted for co-founding Oncio CIC, a non-profit organisation that launched an oncology digital health app last year. Oncio is the first free app available to adults affected by cancer, encouraging them to put self-management tools and strategies into action.

Dr Fuller-Shavel said: “I am delighted to be featured in this list of transformational UK female business leaders. My team and I greatly appreciate this recognition of our innovative work at Synthesis Clinic and Oncio CIC in advancing whole-person cancer support in the UK”.
The clinic founder also co-authored 'Integrative Oncology in Breast Cancer Care'. The book, being published in March, guides care teams on managing a person’s breast cancer journey, including supporting better quality of life, improving patient resilience, minimising the side effects of treatment and optimising clinical outcomes.
The f:Entrepreneur campaign was launched in 2017 by Small Business Britain to raise awareness of the impact of female business owners across the country and inspire the wider small business community.

The campaign offers events, training, and networking opportunities to boost skills, capability, and confidence.
Michelle Ovens CBE, founder of Small Business Britain, said: “Congratulations to Dr Nina, founder of Synthesis Clinic and each of the phenomenal women featured in this year’s #IAlso100.
“It is so important that we call out the incredible contribution of women running businesses across the UK. As well as growing economic prosperity across the UK, they are also having a tremendous, wider positive impact on local communities too. Despite all of the challenges of recent times, it is fantastic to see female entrepreneurship continuing to grow and flourish in the UK, and we must do all we can to encourage and build this further.”
