THE swimming facilities at Winchester Leisure Centre will be closed to members of the public this weekend.
The leisure centre, on Bar End Road, will be hosting a Swim England Hampshire competition on Saturday, January 20, and Sunday, January 21.
Due to the event, all public swimming will be cancelled. However, an Everyone Active spokeswoman has said that the competition will not impact lessons, which will still take place.
All other facilities will be open as normal, with the spokeswoman saying that affected customers have been notified.
The event means that parking next to the leisure centre will be limited and users will have to use the park and ride facilities off Barfield Close.

Everyone Active has also confirmed that the splash pad at the leisure centre is closed while it undergoes maintenance.
Alison Lewis, area contract manager, said: “We can confirm that the splash pad at Winchester Sport and Leisure Park is temporarily closed due to a fault with the rubber flooring.
“Specialist contractors are scheduled to replace the flooring with an upgraded material. An exact date is still to be confirmed, but contractors have indicated that work is unlikely to be completed before April.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will keep customers updated.”
