A WINCHESTER man charged with attempted murder will appear at crown court next month.
Police were called to a home in Fox Lane, Stanmore, on Wednesday, January 3, to reports that a man in his 70s and woman in her 60s had been attacked.
Luke Robert Stride, 33, of Fox Lane, has been charged with attempted murder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He has appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court and according to the court record, Stride is charged with the attempted murder of Leslie Roy Foulds and assault occasioning actual bodily harm to Julie Stride.
The case has been adjourned for a plea and trial preparation hearing at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, February 7.
Stride was remanded in custody.
