A ROAD notorious for flooding will be closed overnight for Southern Water to continue improvement works.
As part of the ongoing work to reduce the risk of wastewater flooding in and around Brambridge, Kiln Lane will be closed from Otterbourne to Colden Common.
The road will be blocked from 6.30pm today (Wednesday, January 10) to 7am tomorrow while Southern Water installs a temporary pipe.

A spokesperson for Southern Water said: “As part of our work in the Brambridge area we will be closing Kiln Late tonight.
“Our teams will be installing a temporary pipe to carry out overpumping to protect the River Itchen. We’re sorry for the disruption this will cause tonight.
“We will continue to work on a long-term solution to the issues we have encountered in the area.
“Access for local residents will be maintained and a diversion will be in place.”
