The pavement, bordering Marston Gate, remains closed until March. The repairs by masonry contractor Traditional Stone and construction management business Evolution5 have been paid for by the residents of Marston Gate and started in October.

The left lane of North Walls will be closed again from Monday, February 26 to Tuesday, March 5, by its junction with Jewry Street and City Road, while the scaffolding is removed. The footpath will remain blocked until then. All works should be complete by Friday, March 8.

North Walls marks the northern line of the city's defences originally built in Roman times and upgraded in the Middle Ages.
