A PAN-ASIAN restaurant in Winchester has received a one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Tanoshii Fusion, on Upper High Street, received the grade from the Food Standards Agency following an inspection on October 25.
The agency found that the restaurant’s hygienic food handling was “generally satisfactory”, but the cleanliness and conditions of its facility and building – including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control to enable good food hygiene – required improvement.

The agency also found that the management of food safety, the system or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future, required major improvement.
Tanoshii Fusion has been contacted for comment.
Of Winchester's 240 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 200 (83 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
