A ROMSEY choir raised hundreds of pounds for its local cancer support centre from its Christmas concert.
The Romsey Choral Society has donated £455.76 to Jane Scarth House thanks to the generosity of audience members at its festive concert.
The evening of choral singing and festive reading was held at Chandler’s Ford Methodist Church on Saturday, December 9.
Romsey Choral Society was established in 1981 and has around 90 singers from all over Hampshire. The choir presents four concerts a year, two of which are in Romsey Abbey.
Jane Scarth House (Romsey Cancer Support Centre), in The Hundred, offers befriending, complementary therapies, counselling and courses and advice to people impacted by cancer.
The centre was founded in 1995 in memory of Romsey resident and mother of two, Jane Scarth, whose family remain closely involved with the charity.
