A ROMSEY travel agency has been shortlisted for a regional travel industry award.

The Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) has revealed its top 50 UK travel agencies and the Romsey branch of Hays Travel made the cut.

Hays Travel Romsey, in The Hundred, has been shortlisted as finalists, in the top five, for the south east.

The staff are keeping their fingers crossed for the judging period, ahead of the big awards ceremony in Manchester in April.

Manager Tasha Elliot said: “We are all so excited to have made the shortlist for TTG Top 5 Agents in the south east, I actually screamed when I got the news. We are all very proud of and dedication and determination we have shown to both our customers and to each other over the last year. We feel honoured to have made such as prestigious shortlist and we will be celebrating as a team at our Christmas meal this week.”

The annual TTG awards recognise and reward exceptional customer service and expertise that travel retailers offer their customers.

Hays Travel Romsey is up against Fred Olsen Travel, Lymington; Hays Travel Brentwood; Meon Valley Travel, Petersfield; and Travel Four Seasons, Harpenden in the south east category, sponsored by Gold Medal.
