MICHELMERSH Silver Band has helped welcome in the festive season with a performance at the annual Christingle service.
The silver band accompanied the service of Christmas carols and readings led by the Reverend Jane Thompson.

A quick changing of places followed with the young players of the Michelmersh Training Band taking over to play a short programme of Christmas favourites.
This included Jingle Bells and Somewhere in My Memory from the film Home Alone before finishing with We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
This was followed by servings of mulled wine and mince pies.
