A CHRISTMAS Ukraine evening in Broughton Village Hall raised funds for the war-torn country.
The event, on Saturday, December 2, began with a fork supper of Ukrainian food cooked by a professional chef living in the village.
Then a Ukrainian choir called Kalyna, sang Christmas carols in both Ukrainian and English, followed by a display of Ukrainian folk dancing.

They were all dressed in national costume looking very colourful so people enjoyed joining them dancing between tables.
There was also an auction, raffle and a performance by Louisa of Spitfire Sisters.
Money collected from the tickets, raffle and auction has been donated to an orphanage near Odessa, and the Leleka Foundation for medical equipment for paramedics.
Organisers were very grateful to everyone who donated gifts and money to support Ukraine.
