A man has been jailed for 16 weeks for a spate of shoplifting offences committed in Winchester and other parts of Hampshire.
Miles Filose, 42, of no fixed abode, was sentenced at Southampton Magistrates Court for making off with items worth more than £500.
He was also jailed for trying to steal £194 of menswear and fragrances from John Lewis at West Quay in Southampton.
On the same day, Filose entered White Stuff at West Quay and stole £35 of perfume. He also took a bottle of fragrance worth £50.80 from John Lewis on Thursday, November 2.
Then, on Sunday, November 12 he stole a £45 wallet from Suave Owl in High Street, Winchester.
On the same day, he took two pairs of gloves worth £90 from Oliver Bonas in High Street, Winchester, and £90 of clothes from Crew Clothing in nearby Market Street.
Four days later Filose returned to West Quay, stealing £100 of perfume from John Lewis.
On Tuesday, November 21, stole £70 of Armani fragrance from Boots in Above Bar Street, Southampton, £29.50 of meat products from Tesco Express in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst, and £13.92 of chocolate and sweets from Poundland, in Above Bar Street.
Filose pleaded guilty to all ten offences.
A police spokesperson said: "This result again emphasises our commitment to tackling shoplifting, as we know the significant impact this crime has on businesses and the wider community."
