A WINCHESTER theatre is embracing the festive season with a host of Christmas events.
The Nutshell Theatre, in Kings Walk, has a busy Christmas line-up in store.
Discarded Nut Youth Theatre is performing a time-travelling Christmas adventure The Present, written by Discarded Nut’s artistic director Noël Jones.
Ben and Alice come to learn that family, love and loyalty are the greatest gifts in life, the things worth fighting for. The pair must fight as the evil Laszlo is hot on their heels, seeking to steal everything precious to them and threatening their very existence.
The Present is on at 7pm on Thursday 14 and Friday, December 15. Suitable for audience members aged seven and above.

The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood, a co-production between Bumblefly, Forest Forge and Mischievous Theatre, will be on for one day only. Following last year’s success of Brr! It’s the Snow Queen!, the travelling players return with its quirky storytelling, merriment and mischief.
Live action, music, a puppet or two, far too many trees and a great deal of swashbuckling will take over The Nutshell stage on Thursday, December 21 at 2pm. Suitable for over 5s.
Harry Potter fans have been invited to test their knowledge of the wizarding world with a quiz on Friday, December 22 at 8pm. Pizza, by Proven Slice, will be available in the courtyard and a bottle of fizz will be awarded to the winning team.
