A total of 16 former staff members decided to mark the occasion, many of them not having met for more than 36 years.

They gathered in the branch to pay homage to the place before moving next door to The Swan Hotel to continue reminiscing.
Former staff have been checking with old records of the bank and found out it had become a bank by 1861 when it most likely was The Hampshire Banking Corporation.
By 1878 it had become The Hampshire and North Wilts Banking Corporation then later that year it was renamed The Capital and Counties Bank. It remained so until 1918 when Lloyds took it over.
