Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC) is partnering with Hursley-based business IncuHive, to support rural businesses in reducing their carbon emissions.
With individual businesses at different stages of their net zero journey, the Test Valley Rural Net Zero Business Service will provide tailored advice to help each play their part in tackling the climate emergency.
Thanks to funding allocated to TVBC earlier this year, from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), small grants will also be available to help businesses cut their carbon footprint. An additional support programme will focus on land management and regenerative farming.

Cllr Alison Johnston, portfolio holder for climate emergency and countryside, said: “This is a brilliant service and I’m delighted we have been able to partner with IncuHive to deliver it.
"Making changes to work towards becoming net zero can be difficult for businesses so this extra support should give them that confidence to be able to do so. I’m really excited to see how this programme develops and would really encourage rural businesses to contact the council to get involved.”
George Scott-Welsh, CEO of The IncuHive group, said: “The IncuHive Group is thrilled to collaborate with Test Valley Borough Council on this transformative endeavour. We are also delighted to have partnered with Accelar, a dedicated team of Net Zero specialists, and our collective goal is to facilitate a paradigm shift towards sustainability within rural businesses, ensuring they thrive in a low-carbon
future."
