PEDESTRIANS in Winchester were left confused last week after a crossing signal was moved out of place.
The red and green man light and the signal showing how many seconds people have to get across was moved 90 degrees at the pelican crossing on Upper Brook Street, near the Brooks Centre.
Hundreds of waiting pedestrians were confused by not being able to see the signal, creating a potentially dangerous situation.

It is unknown how the signal was moved, but it is speculated to have happened late on Thursday, November 30.
The signal has since been restored to its original position so pedestrians can see the signal.
Hampshire County Council has been approached for comment.
