Three planning applications were refused by Winchester City Council this week.

In Winchester, Ian Soulsby's application was refused for the conversion of a three-storey commercial building into an office and a three-bed maisonette. This was at Wykeham House, 11A Southgate Street.

Aaran Dosanjh had an application refused for the remodelling and extension of an existing detached property to provide an additional storey and new rear extension to replace the existing conservatory, at 60 Cheriton Road. 

Mr McIntyre's plan for a first floor rear extension at 15 Hyde Close was refused. 

Caroline Tibbits withdrew an application to change the use of 1 Princes Place from a HMO to a dwelling.

All other applications were permitted. 

Mr and Mrs Hutton, in Bishop's Sutton, had an application permitted for the conversion and alteration of out building to form additional accommodation ancillary to the main dwelling at White Friars, Bishop's Sutton Road.

In Colden Common, Emily Hamilton-Brown's application for a conservatory to rear of 2 Alfred Mews, 39 Spring Lane, was permitted. 

In South Wonston, Peter Harris had an application permitted for the demolition of garage and conservatory; extensions to form garage, bedroom and ensuite; and extension to first floor dormers. This was at Chestnuts, 10 Downs Road.

Mr and Mrs Lambert's application was permitted for the demolition of existing single storey side and rear extensions with replacement two storey side and single storey rear extensions; replacement windows and doors; and replacement tile hanging and minor alterations to existing internally and externally. This was at 44 Wrights Way. 

In Sparsholt, James Payne can demolish three modular teaching blocks and replacement with a two storey higher education centre, at Sparsholt College, Westley Lane.

In Winchester, County Contractors had an application permitted for 21 non-illuminated replacement signs at 35 - 39 High Street. 

Beth Babb can rebuild a side boundary garden party wall at Flat 1C, 1 Clifton Terrace.

Mr and Mrs Nicodemi's application was permitted for a single storey rear extension at Trelawney, 2 Old Hillside Road.

An application without a name was permitted for a plant compound; quench pipe; relocation of cycle store; all associated works to support new MRI scanner. This was at Sarum Road Hospital, Sarum Road.

Mr and Mrs Abbott's application was permitted for a rear dormer for a loft conversion at 1 Knights Crescent. 

County Contractors had an an application permitted for work to remove and replace existing signage to bring it inline with Boots current corporate branding, at 35 - 39 High Street.
