CHESIL Theatre has announced open auditions for its next show.
The theatre will perform The Haunting of Hill House next April, with auditions for the show taking place on December 4 and December 4.
The play is adapted by F Andrew Leslie from the renowned horror novel by Shirley Jackson and will be directed by Jim Glaister.
The Haunting of Hill House follows a small group of strangers who move into Hill House to discover its secrets in the summer of 1960. However, what begins as a curiosity soon devolves into a nightmare.

Director Jim Glaister said: “The Haunting of Hill House is a supernatural psychological drama, adapted from the Shirley Jackson novel of the same name. There are seven roles available: four principal roles (2 female and 2 male) and three supporting roles (2 female and 1 male).”
An informal reading of the play will be held on Friday, December 1 at 7.45pm at the Chesil Theatre. Newcomers are welcome at the reading, and to the auditions on December 3 and December 4. Performances take place from April 6 to April 13.
