A teenager has been arrested after an elderly man was assaulted at a bus stop in Winchester.
Police were called by ambulance colleagues at 3.52pm on Thursday, November 16 to the bus shelter in St Cross Road, near the junction with Romans Road.
It was reported to officers that the man, 89, had been pushed to the ground and sustained a head injury.
He was subsequently taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Officers are investigating the full circumstances of what took place during this incident, and as part of enquiries an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has been released from custody but remains under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police urge anyone who witnessed this incident, or perhaps captured the incident or events leading up to it on Dash Cam footage, to please contact them.
