CRIME reported in the Test Valley has decreased, but the number of violent and sexual offences reported has increased, the latest police figures show.
In September 2023, the most recent month available, 731 crimes were reported across the borough, which is down from 753 crimes reported in the previous month of August, according to data.police.uk.
The most common category was violence and sexual offences, with 290 offences reported, which is up from 260 in the previous month of August.
Anti-social behaviour incidents were the second-most common category, with 78 reports during the month, followed by 77 reports of public order offences.
