Every November the UK remembers those died in the world wars and other conflicts on Remembrance Sunday, which falls on November 12 this year.
Remembrance Sunday is traditionally marked by wreath laying, wearing poppies and memorial ceremonies across the country.
Here is what you need to know about services taking in Winchester this weekend.

On November 11 the Royal British Legion and Mayor of Winchester Cllr Angela Clear will mark the 2-minute silence on the steps of the Guildhall. Members of the public are welcome to join and pay their respects.
On Remembrance Sunday there will be a Remembrance parade which will feature both military and civic processions.
The Remembrance parade will leave the Broadway at 9:30am on Sunday November 12 and will conclude at the Cathedral just before the 10am Remembrance Service.
This service is expected to be busy with limited spaces inside but there will be a livestream for those who are unable to attend.
After the service, there will be an Act of Remembrance which will take place at the War Memorial outside the Cathedral at 11am.
In Alresford, there will be services hosted on November 12 by St Peter’s Church, St Mary’s Church, and St John’s Church.
St Peter’s Church are hosting a parish communion remembrance service at 10am – 12pm with St Mary’s and St John’s Church hosting remembrance services from 10:45am – 11:30am.
The St John’s Church service will be led by Rev Heather Brearey and will also be livestreamed.
There will also be a Remembrance morning prayer at 10:50am hosted by All Saints Church in Alresford.
In Bishop’s Waltham, a Remembrance Day Parade will march along the High Street at 10:30am to the Church and will return to St George’s Square at 12:20pm.
The annual Dedication of the Garden of Remembrance Service will take place on Wednesday November 8 at 3pm in St Peter’s Church Garden where the laying of remembrance crosses will take place.
