A HAMPSHIRE villager has been handed three penalty points for speeding in Somerset.
Charles Smith, of Keble Close, Hursley, was caught driving 36mph in a 30mph zone on the A396 on Monday, April 3.
Smith, 74, was found guilty by the single justice procedure at Bath Magistrates Court on Wednesday, November 1.
As well as getting three penalty points, he must pay a fine of £72, a surcharge of £28 and cost of £90 by Wednesday, December 27.
