A WINCHESTER karate club is once again organising a unique fundraiser for a national charity.
Winchester Karate Club is raising money for BBC Children in Need by doing the 100 kata.
The club is based at Winchester Tennis Club in Bereweeke Road in Weeke and is run by Nigel Hosking, from Titchfield.
The 100 kata is an intense karate routine that takes between two and three hours to complete.

They will be completing the challenge on Sunday, November 19.
By Friday, November 3, they had raised £65. The target is £500.
On the Just Giving page, it said: “The Children in Need charity's aim is to improve the lives of thousands of children by ensuring that their childhood is safe, happy and secure. They want to give every child the chance to reach their full potential in life. Winchester Karate Club (WKC) is kindly sponsored by Winchester Tennis Racquet and Fitness Club (WTRFC) and monthly funds raised by WKC are donated to Naomi House Children's Hospice. This year WKC is again launching the '100 Kata Challenge' on behalf of Children in Need, on Sunday November 19 at the Dojo, (WTRFC).”
Last year, they raised £572. To donate, visit justgiving.com/page/nigel-hosking-1698662098958.
