The fate of the Crosfield Hall in Romsey seems to be a closely guarded secret.

A plan is underway which we are told cannot be changed but Romsonians are not allowed to know details of that plan.

Cllr Adams King apparently says the process is too advanced to change. I believe the plan is to build a replacement hall near the Rapids. Where exactly, on a green field site?

Will further development follow slowing traffic and increasing emissions all the way down to the Broadlands roundabout?

We live in an age when we are trying to reuse and conserve resources and use our cars less and yet we plan to rebuild away from the centre of town and the centre of the community.

The consultation of 2019 was sadly flawed by the pandemic that followed. Do we really need more shops when we have empty ones?

The Romsey Future document 2.14 describes a ‘sea of car parking’. The solution apparently is to build tiered parking!

‘Welcome to Romsey’ you may even catch a glimpse of the Abbey over the top of the car park.

Please Cllr Adams King would you clarify your intentions.
