ROMSEY Bowling Club has held a Poetry and Pizza evening.
Taking place on Friday, October 28, the evening attracted 50 attendees from the club with many performing.
Bob Blake performed a mix of poetry and prose, while Pete Morton and Chaz Davey sang and played the guitar, both to a warm reception.
Following an interval where the club members enjoyed pizza from Roma, Chaz took to the stage again as Elvis, singing songs from the King’s back catalogue.

The event raised £324, half of which went to the club’s funds with the other half to be donated to bowling club president Bill Reid’s chosen charity Simon Says, a local charity which supports young people who have a significant person in their life who has died or is dying.
This was the last event for Bill’s charity – he has raised a total of £2,482.45 during his time as club president, with an anonymous donor bringing the total up to £2,500.
Bill wanted to thank all of the club members for their support.
In the coming year, the Romsey Bowling Club will be raising money for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
