A CCTV image has been released after a series of thefts from motor vehicles.
Police want to speak to the man after reports of thefts from more than 40 vehicles across Winchester between October 10 and October 25.
Items stolen include fishing gear, toolboxes, and loose change.
A police spokesperson said: “We have received over 40 reports of vehicles being broken into between October 10 and October 25, with key times being between 12am and 5am.
“Areas targeted have been Otterbourne, Allbrook, Shawford and Compton, Twyford, and Colden Common.

“Items including fishing gear, toolboxes, and loose change have been reported stolen.
“We have conducted a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for help in identifying him.
“He is described as being a white man, around 5ft 8ins tall, thin build, with light brown hair and facial hair.
“If you know who he is, or have any information on these incidents, please call 101 with reference 44230430592. You can also submit information online”.
