This popular Southampton pub has unveiled a new indoor children's play area, just in time for the October half term holidays.
Walnut Tree Farm, at Adanac Park in Nursling, now boasts a new ball pit, an interactive tractor, climbing frames and slides following a refurbishment of its facilities.
While the Farmhouse Inns pub has remained open throughout the transformation, the play area has been closed for several weeks while work to create a modern play area took place.

Youngsters can now enjoy a designated area featuring gaming and arcade machines, as well as a clearly marked out section for toddlers and the pub’s younger guests to enjoy.
As well as the new play facilities, this area of the pub has undergone a full make over, with a brighter colour scheme to provide a more vibrant, welcoming atmosphere for children and families. As well as an extensive kids offering, there's also a special menu for babies.
General manager Shaks Khan said: “Walnut Tree Farm is perfectly placed in a real up-and-coming location on the outskirts of Southampton, which is currently undergoing a huge development, both residentially and commercially.
“It’s a great, accessible place for families to visit and we’re delighted to be able to offer our younger visitors a modern, exciting space to play with their friends while enjoying food from our delicious menu while they do.”
Walnut Tree Farm also boasts an outdoor children's play area and a heated outdoor area.
It is well known for its plentiful carvery, featuring 14-hour slow-cooked meats and piles of seasonal veg, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, and huge portions of delicious homemade cakes, freshly baked on the premises each day.
The great value, family-friendly menu boasts everything from hearty buffet breakfasts to pub classics like pie and mash, fish and chips, steaks and burgers, with an ice cream parlour proving particularly popular with young guests.
You can even enjoy a takeaway or delivery straight to your door by Deliveroo or Just Eat.
Festive menus and bookings for a Christmas Day feast for all the family are also now available.
