SOUTH East Hants Young Farmers are preparing for this year’s annual tractor run.
This year, the club will be travelling 25 miles from Bishop’s Waltham to Hambledon to raise money for the RNLI.
Each year, the club chooses a charity close to members' hearts.
This year’s route will start at Tangier Farm near Bishop’s Waltham at approximately 9.30am on Saturday, October 21.
The tractors will journey through Waltham Chase, Shedfield, Woodend, Soberton Heath, Brockbridge, Hambledon, Denmead and Southwick before arriving at the Horse and Jockey pub in Denmead at approximately 2.15pm.

This is the third year that Thomas Gregory has organised the tractor run, with the 22-year-old hoping that the event will raise as much money as last year. In 2022, the club raised around £5,000 for Bowel Cancer UK and the Alzheimer’s Society.
Last year's event attracted around 75 vehicles.
Thomas told the Chronicle: “We raised just shy of £5,000 last year, and we would love to raise more than that. Last year was the most we ever raised, and things can only get bigger and better, can’t they?
“I think the RNLI is a very unique charity. While with Alzheimer’s and bowel cancer, I think people donate mainly because they have family and friends who have had those illnesses, but people don’t seem to think of the RNLI when they’re thinking of donating.
“Everything is so expensive for them to go out on one rescue, so we thought it would be good to raise money for them.”
The club has set up a GoFundMe page for people to donate. On the day of the tractor run there will also be club representatives collecting at the towns the convey travels through with charity buckets.
