Yiayias Kitchen Winchester, in St George’s Street, has applied to add 'licensable activities', which could be held on any day of the week, from 11pm to 3am the next day.
Its most recent opening times advertised were Monday to Thursday 12-9pm and Friday to Saturday 12-10pm with reduced hours on Sundays.
On the application to Winchester City Council, it said: “Late night refreshment Monday to Sunday 11pm to 3am the next day (indoors only).
“Representations from Responsible Authorities or any other person must be received at Winchester City Council offices no later than October 30.”
The Greek restaurant has been closed since July, with owner Paul Pyrgoudes saying it would be reopening this month.

He previously said: “We’re currently going through a restructure and doing some work.
“We’re not gone, we’re planning to be back within the next few weeks. We’re not gone from Winchester, we’ve just had some internal restructuring.”
Papa John's pizza, a few doors down, was successful in applying to stay open until 3am for deliveries. It's open for collection until 1am.
The Greek kitchen took over from Tom’s Deli which occupied the premises for more than 30 years.
