A NEW bespoke private therapy centre in Stockbridge is opening with dedicated therapy courses to address growing mental health concerns amongst children and teens.
Learn 2 Live Youth Clinic has been founded by Luchie Cawood, a mother and businesswoman, who struggled to get support for her son’s own mental health difficulties in 2020.
Luchie’s youngest son struggled with severe mental health problems which culminated when the kindness of a passing stranger prevented him from making a suicide attempt.
After spending 30 years owning and running an independent school group, Luchie made the decision to exit the business and set up a mental health clinic.

Luchie’s ambition is for no other family to have to struggle to receive timely support again.
She said: “Our main objective for our person-centred programmes is to take a small step in turning the tide of the current adolescent mental health crisis. We believe no child, teenager or their families should wait for help. Sadly, too many children and young adults are lost to suicide each year.
"Our accessible clinic allows quick referrals so that people can get the help they need when they need it and signpost people to the critical support they need professionally and empathetically in surroundings which aim to uplift and enhance our treatment programmes.”
The clinic will bring together the very best support from medical professionals in a relaxing, natural environment - allowing children and young people to switch off and fully focus on their mental health journey.

During half term, between Monday, October 16 and Friday, November 3, Live 2 Live Youth Clinic will offer back-to-nature courses, allowing families to take advantage of day or residential programmes lasting from four to 10 days, depending on the level of support required.
Following its half-term programmes, the clinic will offer three- and five-day treatment programmes, with a residential option if desired, all year round, specifically designed for young people aged 14–17-years.
The clinic will provide therapeutic support by a team of clinical experts with a capacity for 24 children.
A spokesperson said: “Learn 2 Live Youth Clinic’s dedicated therapy programmes are aimed at children who need a more intensive intervention than regular therapy sessions can offer. The treatment days can be continuously rolled over week by week as needed. Each day comprises four 90-minute therapy sessions and combines talk therapy with art, CBT, movement, and group activities.”
