A HAMPSHIRE estate alongside the River Test has been launched as a new wedding venue.
Broadlands Estate, in Romsey, is now offering three of its locations for wedding ceremonies for up to 50 guests.
The grounds host a variety of events throughout the year, including concerts and festivals, but have never been available for weddings.
Ceremony options include the Walled Garden, the newly-restored Orangery and Inigo Bridge, over the River Test.
Bookings are now open with the first ceremonies taking place from May to September next year.

Richard Jordan-Baker, director of the estate since 2008, said: “All estates have to diversify including Broadlands. We have some beautiful natural assets so it seemed a very natural thing to do with them.
“Inigo Bridge is the most beautiful spot over the River Test. All our weddings will hopefully be unique and very special.
“What makes this place special is that it hasn’t been used for weddings before. The unique selling point is that this is new to everybody. If people were to choose here, none of their guests would have been to a wedding here before.
“I don’t think there is anywhere like it. There is nowhere else where you can get married on a bridge over probably one of the most famous chalk streams in the world.
“It’s beautiful, new, very private and there are a wealth of places nearby to have a reception, there are options for every budget from a pot of tea in Romsey to a party at Lime Wood.”
“We’ve had a gentle response from bride and grooms-to-be so far but we’re not looking to do a wedding every day, two a week is our goal.”

Broadlands invited wedding photographers and planners to tour the venue on Tuesday, October 10 to help spread the word.
Mr Jordan-Baker has put together his own wedding team of experts, to help make couples’ visions a reality.
The wedding packages include chairs and a glass of champagne for every guest. Inigo Bridge can seat up to 20 guests while the other locations are available for up to 50.
Ceremonies can be booked Monday to Saturday for May to September.
Any outdoor weddings can be moved inside the Orangery if the weather is bad on the day.
