NEW data shows the number of incidents involving E-Scooters in Hampshire has increased since 2020, making Hampshire the fourth-highest E-scooter injury hotspot in Great Britain.
The data shows how many injuries were reported to Hampshire Police as a result of E-Scooter incidents in each of the previous three years.

The data accounts for reports between 2020 and 2022.
In 2020, 17 injuries were reported to Hampshire Police as a result of E-Scooter-related incidents, accounting for 4 per cent of all E-Scooter-related injuries reported in Great Britain that year.
In 2021, the number of injuries reported to Hampshire police as a result of E-Scooter-related incidents rose to 35, accounting for 3.8 per cent of all E-Scooter-related injuries reported in Great Britain that year.
In 2022, the number of injuries reported to Hampshire Police as a result of E-Scooter-related incidents drastically increased to 96, accounting for 6 per cent of all E-Scooter-related injuries reported in Great Britain that year.
By percentage, the five police forces with the most E-scooter-related injury reports in Great Britain in 2022 are:
- Metropolitan Police - 25 per cent
- Avon and Somerset Police - 8 per cent
- West Midlands Police - 8 per cent
- Hampshire Police - 6 per cent
- Nottinghamshire Police - 5 per cent
