THE South Wonston Parish Council fireworks display takes place on Saturday, November 4 at the Recreation Ground.

The event opens at 5.30pm, with the fireworks starting at 6.30pm. The event will feature food and drinks on sale, as well as music and fairground rides (weather permitting).

The display is free to enter, with a suggested donation of £1 per person.

WONSTON Community café will be returning on Wednesday, October 18.

Held at the Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney, this month the café will raise money for Blood Cancer UK, which researches different blood cancers including leukaemia and lymphoma.

Staffed by volunteers, the café provides tea, coffee and homemade cakes. It is cash only.

SOUTH Wonston Sustainability is holding a free workshop on Sunday, October 15 on the topic of sustainable energy generation.

Running from 11am to 1.30pm at South Wonston Pavilion, the Future Energy Landscapes workshop will bring in experts from the Centre for Sustainable Energy (a Bristol-based charity) to talk about the types of renewable energy that would be deliverable in South Wonston, and what each could contribute to our total energy needs.

Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.

A follow-up survey will also be used to broaden the contributions from as many residents as possible.

SUTTON Scotney Divos' and Devers have announced their 2023 Christmas panto, The Wizard of Oz.

Performances will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday, December 7 to Saturday, December 9 with matinee performances at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday, December 10. The performances will be held at Victoria Hall, on Wonston Close.

The show is appropriate for all the family, and tickets are now on sale. All proceeds go to charity, including the Victoria Hall.

MICHELDEVER Primary PTA are holding a quiz night on Friday, October 20.

The quiz will be at 7.30pm at the Warren Centre at Micheldever Station. Tickets cost £10 per person; a cash bar, nibbles and soft drinks will be available with prizes to be won. Tickets can be purchased online. Anyone with questions should email micheldever-pfa@live.co.uk.

THE Dever Art Exhibition will be taking over Sutton Scotney Village Hall from Friday, October 13 to Sunday, October 15.

Visitors will be able to see what the artists have been up to this year and meet them in person. Refreshments will be available as well as free parking.

THE Victoria Hall Christmas Market will return on Saturday, November 18.

Running at the hall from 10am to 12.30pm, it is the perfect opportunity to stock up on presents and cards, as well enjoy refreshments and perhaps even win a raffle prize.
