I read with alarm the report on the plans to redesign the town centre and demolish Crosfield Hall.
I am amazed that Councillor Adams King believes that this plan has general approval.
A Citizens Assembly of 41 people seems to be the only public consultation. Most Romsians I talk to were unaware of the plan until very recently.
I attended a display by Romsey Future in the town hall in 2018, and was assured that demolition of Crosfield Hall was not part of the plan. I wonder how early developers were involved in the planning.
Cllr Adams-King says that the process is too advanced to change. This is not true. Surely a proper debate, perhaps organised by the Advertiser, is the next step.
