A NO entry sign was facing the wrong way in Romsey town centre.
Drivers travelling down Latimer Street have been shocked to see a no-entry sign when following the one-way system onto The Hundred.
David Reading first spotted the mistake a couple of weeks ago and contacted Hampshire County Council for it to be changed.

Posting in the Facebook group Romsey News and Information, Mr Reading, said: “Well. Who is risking a fine of up to £1,000 and three points on your licence by travelling down Latimer Street over the last three weeks?
“Signage is clear once you have entered Latimer Street you can’t exit. Yes, I reported this over two weeks ago and the sign is still in place. Come on whoever is responsible for this please get it right.”
Residents said the sign was simply facing the wrong way and should be for cars along The Hundred so they know not to turn left onto Latimer Street.
Commenters on the post believe the sign was turned around by “drunks or youngsters” but on second inspection Mr Reading believes it’s been installed incorrectly.
He said: “I truly believe it’s been put up wrong as the sign has a light above it to illuminate it. So, if it has been turned around for fun then the light would need to have been turned around as well, both exactly level with one another.
“I may be wrong but I think it’s just been put up wrong.”
A Hampshire County Council spokesperson said: "We can confirm that we are aware of this issue, the sign having been turned on its post. This has now been rectified and contractors will return on October 6 to reposition the lanterns, which require some additional work.
"Residents can report issues with lit road signs, or street lighting more generally, at any time at lightsoninhampshire.co.uk/Public/ReportFault.aspx."
Mr Reading first noticed the mistake on September 14 but it wasn't until Thursday, October 5 that it was corrected.
