A Romsey professional driver, who has worked for sporting legends like tennis stars Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic, together with UEFA officials and leading figures of industry, has started his own chauffeur business.

Steve Rogers, who also lists the major cruise companies as clients, has formed CLASS Executive Cars.

With more than 40 years’ experience and fully licensed, CLASS has a range of services for both private individuals and corporate clients.

They include airport and cruise transfers, corporate hospitality and special events. In addition, on the occasions when a client wants to use their own car, CLASS can provide a fully qualified and experienced driver to take the wheel.

As the business founder, Mr Rogers has enjoyed a varied career. A police trained driver, he has had some fascinating assignments at home and abroad. Last summer he chauffeured senior UEFA officials in England for the UEFA Women’s Championship which saw the Lionesses beat Germany 2-1 in the final at Wembley.

Eight months earlier he was a driver for, among others, Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic who were playing the Laver Cup at the O2 in London, which pits six of the best men’s tennis players from Europe against six of their best counterparts from the rest of the world.

He said: “With the unpredictability of public transport and with safety, reliability and confidentiality our top priorities, we offer a service where our clients can concentrate on their engagements while we handle the logistics. Already we’re off to a flying start and I’m looking forward to meeting new clients.”
