Mr Holmes said: “The success of the Walk the Test Way serves as a heart-warming reminder of the power of our community. It demonstrates that when we all come together, we can make a positive impact that ripples far beyond the event itself. The event has raised so far £60,000 and we are still counting. It will be distributed to over 115 charities.”

Since it began 20 years ago, the event has raised more than £1million for charities far and wide.
