A WINCHESTER driver caught speeding on the M1 in Yorkshire has been fined more than £1,000.
Rached Shawki Khairallah, 30, of Bereweeke Way, Weeke, was clocked driving at 82 mph, above the 70mph limit, near Wakefield on March 8, a court heard.
Magistrates in Bradford on September 21 were told that Khairallah was found guilty under the single justice procedure.
They imposed a fine of £746, a victim surcharge of £296, costs of £90 and three penalty points.
An allegation of failing to give information to the police was withdrawn by the prosecution.
The penalty of £1,132 must be paid by October 12, the court ordered.
