DRIVERS travelling to and from Winchester city centre have been warned of delays of up to 35 minutes.

Police have closed the A34 in both directions following a crash involving a lorry.

A diversion is in place and officers expect the road to be closed for the majority of the day.

Road users are being advised to avoid the area wherever possible and allow extra time for their journeys.

Severe delays are building across the city, with approximately 35 minute delays at either end of the city centre by Bar End through to Jewry Street and from Badger Farm Road to Hockley Roundabout.
