AN inquest has opened in the death of a man who crashed into a broken-down HGV on the M3 near Winchester in May.
Duane Evans, 38, of Wednesbury, West Midlands, died on Thursday May 16 on the M3 southbound near junction 10 at Bar End.
The motorway was closed for most of the day due to a complicated and difficult recovery from the incident following an initial police investigation.

Area coroner Simon Burge opened the inquest at Winchester Coroners' Court on Tuesday September 12.
The causes of death were given as severe multiple injuries due to a road traffic collision.
The full inquest will be held on Wednesday July 17 next year.
