THE Winchester Half Marathon is fast approaching, with a route taking in some of the city's famous landmarks.
The event starts outside The Guildhall at 9am on Sunday September 24. Road closures will be in place. There will be no access through the Broadway after 6am on Sunday until 2pm. Other roads will be closed during the course of the
The route takes in landmarks such as St Catherine's Hill, Winchester Cathedral and King Alfred the Great.

A 1km fun run will start at 12.30pm.
The half marathon route leaves the city on Sarum Road, then heads south towards Hursley. It then turns north on Port Lane towards Oliver's Battery and Badger Farm.
After joining St Cross Road, it then goes along the Itchen Navigation, by St Catherine's Hill and back into the city centre.
