AHEAD of this month’s festival, Mucky Weekender has applied to extend its event to a ‘three-day extravaganza’ next year.
The boutique music festival will be back for its third year at Vicarage Farm in Woodmancott, near Micheldever, from Friday, September 8 to Saturday, September 9.
But next year, event creator Barry Ashworth is hoping to make it bigger than ever and keep the party going on Sunday.

The Dub Pistols frontman submitted a licensing application last month to Winchester City Council to supply film, alcohol, live and recorded music, dance performances and late-night music for an extra day from next year.
Mr Ashworth said: “We are excited that Mucky Weekender is evolving from a two-day festival to a three-day extravaganza – more news about that later.
“This year we are all systems go with the weather forecast going to be hotter than mars, the music line up featuring some of the best artists ever including The Selecter, The Skints, Stereo MCs, Goldie, Mungo’s Hi-Fi covering all music genres across four stages plus Cirque De La Quirk returning with their incredible fire shows and performances.”

With a capacity of 4,000 visitors, organisers describe the music and arts event as a more intimate festival.
This year includes a new ‘Spaceship’ stage, in theme with the 2023 outer space dress code.
Day and camping tickets are still available from mucky-weekender.co.uk/.
People can view the licensing application details on Winchester City Council's website and have until September 12 to submit written comments to the council for consideration.
