EMERGENCY services closed part of the A34 near Winchester while they located a man on a bridge following reported welfare concerns.
Hampshire Police was called just after 5am on Thursday, August 31 to a report of a concern for the welfare of a man on a bridge over the A34.
The A34 was closed for both north and southbound carriageways between Three Maids Hill and Bullington Cross for less than an hour.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “Emergency services attended and the man was located.”
The road was re-opened around 6.30am.
