A WINCHESTER University journalism lecturer has teamed up with the world's top transfer expert on a new football podcast.
Angus Scott presents The Debrief every Monday with renowned Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Together with co-presenter Ben Jacobs they debate the latest transfer news and all the major footballing talking points of the week.
Fabrizio, regarded by many as the media’s ‘most trusted’ transfer pundit, brings his expertise and 17 million Twitter followers to the podcast, while Angus brings 30 years of broadcast experience.
Angus, who was a member of the ITV team covering the 2022 Qatar World Cup, has already brought in some big-name guests including Ruud Gullit, Gus Poyet and Clive Allen.

“It’s a hugely competitive market but there is a huge appetite for football news and debate,” said Angus.
“When we aren’t watching the game, we’re talking about it.”
Angus, who is a part-time lecturer on the journalism course at Winchester, hopes to recruit some of his students to help with the podcast.
“This is such a vocational course and I want to bring the students on board with what I do in the profession,” he explained.
It is hoped journalism students can be involved in editing and planning the programme as well as ‘phone-bashing’ – calling around to find guests and contributors.
Angus studied English and Drama at the University of Winchester and after working in newspapers started his TV career presenting local news and sport.
He has presented a wide range of sports, including football, rugby and motorsport. He has worked for the BBC, ITV, ITN, Setanta Sports, Al Jazeera, ESPN and BT Sport.
