THOUSANDS of festival goers are having the time of their lives at Boomtown, a five-day long festival in the South Downs National Park in Hampshire.
The popular festival has taken over the Matterley Estate near Winchester until Sunday, August 13.
Spanning 12 main stages plus hundreds of smaller venues, Boomtown will feature heavyweights from across many different genres as well as some up-and-coming DJs performing to thousands of festival-goers.

Many attendees have been looking for information - and Boomtown organisers have recommended the Woov app to festival attendees.
Boomtown posted a link on its Facebook page to the app ‘Woov’ where festival goers can also view a live world map of the event.
The free-to-download app, which has partnerships with over 1,000 events, provides useful information on all you need to know such as key locations, music timetables and a map.
The Netherlands-based app has been used internationally in over 40 countries and was founded in 2017 after founder and CEO Sebastien Westerduin was able to gain funding from owners of Jägermeister and MediaMonks.

The app’s aim is to help both event organisers and visitors have an organised method of socialisation and information on one platform.
If you’re a first-time festival go-er then navigating your way around is easy with the 3D map. People locate each stage and surrounding facilities and easily pinpoint campsites.
Festival goers on site said that the map feature was useful, but there were some issues with phone signal because of the rural location.
However, the app is also useful in case of emergencies as it features an incident report feature and a find your friends feature.
Community chat rooms are available to access and are said to provide ‘A space where event-goers can connect with each other, share their experiences, and stay up-to-date with the latest news and announcements.’
One Boomtown chat room ‘Best food vendors’ has been sharing their experiences so far, one person said: “Paelleria is so good”.
Chat rooms for vegan and gluten-free attendees have also been created.
This year the festival is ‘cashless’, instead using wristbands as a payment method and people can top up their wristbands through Woov, and get around any signal issues by initiating an auto-top-up schedule online.
Lastly, people can view each upcoming music timetable for every day of the fair - including locations and exact times, create a personal timetable and set up alerts.
