The Winchester Bakery is taking part in Winchester Heritage Open Days next month.
On Wednesday September 13 conservationist Peter Martindale will be giving a talk on his restoration process of the painting above its fireplace which includes Elizabeth I’s coat of arms and depicts the five gates of Winchester, a lion and a dragon.
The Heritage Open Days theme this year is 'creativity unwrapped'.

The Winchester Bakery first opened its High Street doors in April last year, but the story of its building started long before.
Located next to the medieval Buttercross, the building is believed to date from the early 16th century.
The talk is taking place on Wednesday September 13 at 11am and 2pm upstairs at The Winchester Bakery. Attendance is free but spaces are limited.
