A WINCHESTER woman caught driving over the legal alcohol limit has been banned from the road for 18 months.
Henrietta Elaine Hardy, 36, of Swithun Way, was stopped by police at a McDonald's on Trevenson Road, Pool, in Cornwall, on November 20, a court heard.
She was driving a 2015 Skoda Fabia and gave an alcohol reading of 73 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath, double the legal limit.
Hardy pleaded guilty when she appeared at Truro Magistrates Court on August 4. She was banned from driving for 18 months, but the ban will be cut by four-and-a-half months if she passes an approved course by July 30 next year.
Hardy was also fined £120, with a surcharge of £48 and costs of £400.
