A WINCHESTER deli is preparing to move to larger premises this weekend.
Basil Leaf Deli has taken over the former MegaBet unit in St George’s Street to expand the business to better satisfy customer demands, two years after it opened in Winchester.
It was previously reported that the work, to move from its current unit at 48 St George’s Street, cost between £40,000 to £50,000.
The new store will open on Saturday August 12, at 12pm.
On a note on the front of the old store, it said: “We are excited to announce that our deli is undergoing a significant change to enhance your dining experience. We are moving our premises to a brand-new location at 14-16 St George's Street, Winchester. As we embark on this exciting journey, we want to inform you that our current location will be closed for the next week during the move.
