A WOMAN has been arrested for attempting to fraudulently buy phones using a fake passport.
Police were called to Vodafone, on High Street, yesterday afternoon (August 4) to a report of fraud.
Officers said a woman was attempting to set up an account and buy two iPhone 14s using false details and a fake passport.

They discovered that the woman was known on Vodafone systems for committing similar offences.
Winchester Police wrote on Facebook: "Officers attended the store where it transpired that the female was known on Vodafone systems for committing similar offences across Vodafones in the UK, stealing approximately £21,000 worth of phones from the company using other fake accounts."
She was arrested for fraud-related offences and remains in custody.
