ARE you off to Boomtown? Here are some things you might want to know before you the much-anticipated music festival returns next week.

These are the essentials you'll need to know before you head to Boomtown: Chapter Two: The Twin Trail.

Clothes:

Be sure to pack enough clothes if you're staying the week, and make sure you bring appropriate footwear as you'll no doubt rack up the miles as you head from stage to stage.

Wear comfortable clothes that you can move easily in, ideally wear closed-toe shoes to prevent yourself from tripping over and injuring yourself.

Drink enough water:

While we haven't had the nicest of summers so far, at the time of writing the forecast is looking hot.

It's important to make sure you stay hydrated in the heat, especially if you spend all day dancing, so bring a large reusable bottle with you and keep it topped up.

Avoid Sun-burn:

You should definitely bring sunscreen, you don't want to end up getting burned and having your time ruined.

Aftersun is also advisable.

Hygiene:

You know the drill, unless you have premium tickets, you're living in a tent for a week, with no running water... You're going to stink. There's no getting around that.

There are definitely some steps you can take to stay hygienic, however.

Essential items for any festival goer are wet wipes and hand sanitiser, you can use both to maintain some level of hygiene.

Dry shampoo will also be a win for those worried about their hair, and of course, bring deodorant.

Living at Boomtown:

It might sound obvious but don't forget to bring your tent with you.

As well as this, bring a sleeping bag and a pillow or two, make sure you're comfortable at night.

Fold-up chairs are always good to bring, it beats sitting on the muddy floor in your downtime.

Bring food - snacks are going to be essential to your life at Boomtown - just make sure you have somewhere to store it safely.

Power banks and portable chargers will be very useful to bring to make sure your phone doesn't run out of charge.

You should also consider bringing a book, game or something to do when you're not partying, it will be useful.
