AFTER coming up with the winning name, an eight-year-old train fanatic got to cut the ribbon on a pub’s newest creation.
Nathan Ainscow proudly opened a new wooden train, named the King Charles Express, at the King Charles pub in Kings Worthy.
Nathan said: "I've always loved trains and I like playing in the garden at the King Charles. With this and King Charles III being crowned this year too, I am very happy to name the new wooden play train, The King Charles Express."

Visitors were welcomed to watch the official unveiling of the latest play feature in Lovedon Lane, which was built by pub manager Darren Anchor at the request of his wife and fellow licensee Dawn.
Pub regular Nicky Chapman said: “It was great to see Nathan officially opening the train. What a great name for a lovely new addition to the pub garden which will be well used by many.”
Guests were treated to a glass of fizz to celebrate the opening on Friday, July 21, with sweets for the younger visitors.
